A loft system needs a suitable loft, safe access and an appropriate diffuser position. A flat or home without a loft needs a different assessment and may require another ventilation solution. PIV is an option to assess, rather than a fit for every home.

Where condensation contributes to mould, improving ventilation can be part of controlling the conditions that allow it to return. Existing mould also needs appropriate treatment, and any leaks or building defects must be addressed. No ventilation unit can guarantee a mould-free home.

No. PIV supplies air to the home; an extractor removes air, usually from a room such as a bathroom or kitchen. They perform different jobs and need to be considered together as part of the home’s ventilation.
